We all want our relationship to be lasting. However, we are not always so lucky in love. Sometimes the circumstances are not right. Other times, a party just doesn’t want to go any further. It’s sad to think about it, but it’s a reality. Is it even possible to know that you are experiencing lasting love? Or do we just have to keep guessing until the end?
Lasting love can be seen in the synergy of a couple
Whenever you see a partner, you can probably make a good guess about whether or not they will end up together. We base these conjectures on how they are treated or how they work together. In a general sense, we can also identify lasting love in the same way. Try the following:
1. We, we, ours
You will know that your relationship is lasting when you and your partner use pronouns that refer to you as a team. For example, a couple might say, “We usually go down to the market on the weekends” versus “I usually go down to the market on the weekends.” Including your partner in what you do means that you consider yourself a partner.
When you talk to your friends about how you got married, how do you do it? Do you do it with joy, remembering every detail? Or do you do it in a way that feels more like a task? The first medium is a good sign, of course. The second medium could indicate that both you and your partner are tired of the relationship you are in.
3. Glorifying the struggle
Every couple has a struggle. When you hear them talking as if overcoming their obstacle is some kind of trophy or achievement, it’s a good sign. It means that the couple acknowledges that they have come a long way, but they are happy to have done so despite the difficulties.
Do you see any signs in your relationship? If not, you may not have reached this point yet. If so, you have the opportunity to develop it. Be proactive and do the work necessary for lasting love to be present. For more tips on dating and relationships, read other blog posts.
