Love in the Crown Age – Chloe Dating Tips

In many parts of the world, coronavirus is wreaking havoc on people’s lives. Businesses are temporarily closed, some parts of the world have been quarantined, people are starting to quarantine and everyone is a little cautious. I have had several clients contact me to inform me of dates that have been canceled due to the virus or to complain that I have been separated from a relationship that has just begun. They think that making dating, especially online dating, impossible. Everyone wants advice on what to do, because for some reason they assume I have a solution to make dating in Crown time possible … and they’re right, because I’m great.

I don’t think appointments can be made necessarily easier when most people are quarantined at home and are clearly disinterested in making known kisses in public places, but it can certainly be more meaningful.

Do you know how I met my boyfriend? Probably not, but those of you who have read my blog know that I am one great fan of my husband. Seriously, though, we genuinely love each other’s shit. Make fun of me as I tell you the story of how we started.

I live in New York, but my family lives in Florida. When I met my boyfriend, I had recently flown to Florida because someone in my family was having a life-threatening health crisis. At the time, I was dating this guy I call Justin. I had to cancel an appointment with Justin because I was sitting in a hospital waiting room waiting to see if my family member would survive. Justin was an idiot about the situation … as if he were a real idiot on the whole subject. I told him to fuck, and then I kept looking desperately at the door waiting for a doctor to tell me if my relative would. A few minutes later, a loud noise WHAT he broke the silence in the waiting room and looked down to see that he had a new message in the dating app where he was. I answered just to distract myself, and we started sending text messages back and forth. We ended up talking on the phone for an hour. He kept me company and showed me so much.kindness on one of the most terrifying days of my life.

We talked the next day, and the next day, and the next day. We talked about life, love, happiness, and hardship. We talked about our hopes and our dreams, our ills, and our favorite things in the world. We told each other stories about our childhood. We shared our most intimate and painful memories with each other. We were vulnerable to each other in a way that none of us had ever been vulnerable before. With him, this man with whom I had never touched, kissed, or shared space, I laughed louder than I had ever laughed, recorded more than 6 hours on the phone at once, and finally fell asleep to the sound of his breathing. We watched movies together on the phone, we cooked dinner together on the phone, we played together on the phone, we Invented games on the phone. We introduced ourselves to our friends over the phone. We fell in love over the phone. I was in Florida for faaaaaar longer than any of us would have preferred, but oh man, we fell really hard. I knew I loved her more than I had ever loved anyone before sharing our first kiss. Was it always fun? No man, sometimes it was very difficult. Was it always easy? Of course not. Did it always make sense? Absolutely.

It may sound counter-intuitive, but when all you have is a voice on the phone, it’s much easier to see a person’s soul than when you’re distracted by sex and social activities.
