Find self-love and self-confidence: the innocent and kind self
Within each of us is an innocent and esteemed self, waiting to be discovered. That includes you. If you are silent long enough and sit with yourself, you will discover a beautiful ineffable essence that Kahlil Gibran calls, “a fragment of the Divine.” I know this whole business of finding self-love and self-confidence can be hard to relate to, as an impossible task for YOU. This is because of the negative talk you have in your head about yourself or the feelings of fear and anxiety can be overwhelming at times.
So, for those of you who are single or in an unsatisfactory relationship, today’s step in our journey together is as follows: Fall in love with yourself and find the love you are looking for. When you treat yourself well, you will choose partners who love you. As inside, also outside. This is one of the last secrets to attracting a great partner. So today’s goal is to help you find self-love and self-confidence through a simple hack.
How to find love and self-confidence
As I mentioned before, the main relationship we have as a model or model of intimacy and love are our first relationships with our mothers and fathers. This is the nutritional basis we use to build our close relationships. But usually our experiences of growing up with our mothers and / or fathers are not ideal. You may have experienced being ignored, criticized, controlled, or even abused or abandoned. And these wounds can slow you down in terms of your self-love and self-confidence. But the great news is that you can use guided meditation to reconnect your love template to help you feel good about yourself!
Below is a powerful meditation that can help you develop self-love based on the archetype of an unconditionally loving mother. (She is not your real mother, even if she was cared for unconditionally!) If the word mother makes you think of negative associations, you can substitute “angel” or “goddess.”
How to find self-love and self-confidence: a simple meditation trick
Start sitting in a comfortable private place. Play stimulating or inspiring music and then close your eyes and take a deep breath to relax. Once the music is finished, listen to my recording below The Self Talk Show organized by the wonderful Meetali Ohri. Close your eyes and imagine the guided images happening. Let the images that come out play in your mind. This is like eating extremely nutritious foods, but it is a food that you can use to build your mind instead of your body. It can help you build positive, loving relationships with yourself. Feel free to go with any other love image that may come to mind. This powerful meditation is designed to help you find love and self-confidence.
